Twin Stroller: Moving Two Children at Once
A twin stroller carries two children in one frame, either side-by-side or one behind the other. The layout decides the width, the weight, and whether it fits through a doorway.
Twins or two close-in-age children change the calculus: the frame must hold two weights, two recline needs, and still fit the world you move through. Below are the choices that matter.

Two seats, two layouts
Side-by-side frames are wider; tandem frames are longer. The images below make that trade-off easier to picture alongside the doorway and boot checks above.
Side-by-side vs tandem
A side-by-side gives each child equal view and equal room but is the wider of the two — measure it against your doorways and car trunk. A tandem stacks the seats and slips through tighter gaps but can feel long and heavier at the front. Neither is wrong; it follows where you actually push it.
Weight, recline, and the fit
With two children the stated weight limit is double the load, so check it against both. Independent recline lets one child sleep while the other sits up. The same ASTM F833 or EN 1888 mark applies; confirm it covers the double frame, not just a single.
